Halloween Bash With The Whammies!
The greatest Halloween party now features The Ghostbusting Whammies! That's right, come to Jefferson Hall and relive with us one of the greatest movie's from the 80's. If you try real hard to think about nothing, maybe Dove will turn into the Stay Puffed Marshmellow Man, or we can get Jeff to levitate 3 feet above the stage so he can sing into Dove's microphone. If you choose to come celebrate with us, it will be a night you won't forget. I even hear that there could be prizes for best costumes. When you are done partying with us, don't forget to let us know what songs you would like to hear at upcoming shows. Click Here to participate and have a say in what we play Remember if you run into one of us dressed in our Ghostbusting garb, "don't cross the streams"

Important Calendar Updates!
We apologize for any inconveniences this might cause but, there are some calendar changes on the horizon. We found out Friday that Sneaky Pete's in Milford was packing away the ripped jeans and black tee-shirts of rock-n-roll and trading them in for some cowboy hats. Since we didn't have enough time to relearn all of our songs as if we were a Garth Brooks cover-cover band before this Saturday, we will have this night off. Also, we were informed the same day that the Porch gig on 9/12 will not happen. Do not fear, they are not changing formats on us, but instead will shut down for major renovations for about a month. Make sure to catch us at the Porch at our next gig upon their re-opening. I am sure it will be worth the wait. And finally, JD Legends have decided to let us play on 10/4 for yet another Buckeye Bash against the Wisconsin Badgers. Make sure you join as at that show. (Holly, try this one for Tina's bachelorette party....lol). See you soon, The Whammies!

Recent Website Outages!
We apologize for our recent website disruptions. Jeff was actually going to make one of his semi-annual updates to the website, but Jason had already began transferring it to the new hosting plan. Blame it on the drummer! Anyway, our e-mail and pictures will be back up shortly. So keep an eye out for them. To keep yourself busy this Thursday night (since our pictures are down), West Chester has agreed to let us perform in their new park from 6-8PM. We will be at Union Centre Square in front of the clock tower. (And yes, Karen, we know they also play there in a couple weekends, so you can scout out a spot on that lawn as well when Danny sings Too Shy and you feel like killing time for about 4 minutes. See you all there, your friends, The "technology challenged" Whammies.)

Happy 4th of July!
The Whammies wish you a safe and happy independence day!

Congrats Aaron Thomas
Congratulations and a huge Thank You goes out to your newest Whammie, Aaron Thomas! He officially ended the 2008 Cincy Idol competition somewhere in the wee hours of April 6th after our last show at Jefferson Hall. Come see us very soon and welcome him aboard. He will not let you down, as he didn't us. Heck, he even busted out a G string at the last show.... or was that broke a G string? Either way, come party with us and keep your ears open as we are bound to be bringing more new 80's material your way soon. Check out the calendar for this summer's great shows just added!

Annie's this Friday!!

We will be at Annie's this coming Friday, March 14th.
A lot of firsts for us this week. It's our first and only show in March, our first time at Annie's, our first show without Mr. Mike Zapf, our first show with interim singer, Aaron Thomas, and Danny's first show wearing big boy pants. So, it would be very nice of you to come and join us this Friday at Annie's (4343 Kellogg Avenue. Cincinnati, Ohio 45226 513-321-0220). We'd really appreciate it. Seriously.
We really, really hope to see you there.

03.06.08
Moving on...
So, we will start the post mike era with a date at Annie's. Yes, that Annie's. We'll be there Friday, March 14th. We'll have more details as we get closer. Just wanted to give you a heads up so you can mark your calendars. It should be a good time. Stay tuned...

The end of an era
As some of you already know, Mike is leaving us to pursue personal interests. It is a sad day indeed for us here in Whammyville. We hate to see him go, but wish him nothing but the best in all his future endeavors. Come out this weekend and say goodbye to him in style.
For your convenience, you have two chances to see him off. His farewell tour starts Friday, February 22nd at Jefferson Hall in Newport, KY and will wind up on Saturday the 23rd at Sneaky Pete's in Milford, OH. Please come out either, or better yet, both nights and give him the sendoff he deserves.
As for the Whammies, we will labor on while trying to find someone to fill Mike's mighty big shoes. Stay tuned for details.

Thanks, Mike. We'll miss you.  ...sniff, sniff...

Happy New Year! (a little late)
Well, the month's half over, but it's never too late to wish all of you a happy 2008! We hope to see each and every one of you in the upcoming year. Start it off right by joining us this Saturday night, January 19th at Jefferson Hall. We'll be kicking of our 2008 tour about 10:00. Hope to see you there!!

12.28.07
Rhino's
First of all, we want to wish each and every one of you a bright and shiny new year.
Come on out to Rhino's this Saturday and join us for New year's eve boot camp. Get your self in partying shape with us. It should be a great time!!

11.28.07
Rhino's, Danny update and new dates added
Howdy! we like to take this opportunity to invite each and every one of you to come on out to Rhino's Bar And Grill this Friday, November 30. We'll be taking the stage about 10pm. You surely don't want to miss the fun!
On a semi-related note; if for no other reason, you should be in attendance to wish Danny a speedy recovery. Our own Mr. Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. Mr. Conrad was attempting to rid the roof of leaves and decided that he would rather be back down on the deck gazing at the beautiful autumn sky. A few broken ribs later and a little morphine, he's as good as factory refurbished. Come and watch him wince as he struggles to remove his guitar. You'll be rolling on the floor as he struggles to take deep breath. Seriously, he's damn lucky he didn't break his neck. But, like the trooper he is, he's going to give it his best shot just for you.
We hope to see you there!!
PS. There are some new dates on our schedule page.

WOW!!
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, but we're still recuperating from last Sunday night. You put the Whammies in a room full of  beauticians, stylists, artists or whatever you wanna call them, you've got a recipe for a good time. These folks really know how to party and actually taught us thing or two. Mike even got some product (photos soon) and learned to speak Russian. Hopefully, we'll see them again soon!
So now we get ready for J.D. Legends this week. We'll be part of the Buckeye Tailgate Bash. Come out and join us for the Ohio State/Purdue game on some huge TVs. We'll be starting at 7:00, going until game time, playing at halftime and after the game. The weather's going to be great for October, heck, great for August so come on out!

Danke schön
In other words, Thanks beautifully. We had a great time at the MainStrasse Oktoberfest. We made some new friends, caught up with some old ones and filled ourselves with wienerwurst .We appreciate all of you hanging around even though your clothes were stuck to you. Must be something about German festivals...
We now set our sights on next Saturday, September 15th when we will be back in the commonwealth at Jefferson Hall in gorgeous Newport, Kentucky. Please come and join us, won't you? (Karen & Steve, you might just want to pitch a tent in the parking lot.)
Also, before you leave here, if you haven't already, PLEASE SIGN UP ON OUR E-MAIL LIST! It's free!

NEW PICTURES ADDED!
Pictures from the Cincinnati Bell/WEBN Fireworks are now posted. Enjoy!

Boom!
First of all, we'd like to send out a big Whammies congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Jim Klosterman. We had a great time with them, their families and friends Saturday night. We also appreciate them putting off their honeymoon just so they could join us at the Cincinnati Bell/WEBN Fireworks on Sunday. Hopefully you guys will be as happy as you were those two days for many years to come. ( of course you probably won't be drinking that much every day. we hope...)
As stated above, we had a great time at the Klosterman wedding.
As we awoke bright and early on Sunday, we wondered, "How can we top last night?" "Let's go down to the river with a few of our closest friends and shoot off some fireworks." Brilliant!!
We had boatloads of fun Sunday night in Newport. The Snowie booth kept us nice and cool. For that, we are eternally grateful. We met a bunch of interesting people, for sure. Hopefully we'll do it again soon. Well, not too soon.
On to this weekend. You will find us donning our lederhosen and grabbing some schnitzel (hee hee)  at The
Mainstrasse Oktoberfest in Covington, Ky. We'll be cranking it up at about 8:00pm. So come on down and knock back a few cold ones and grab some wienerwurst (hee hee).
Before you leave here, if you haven't already, PLEASE SIGN UP ON OUR E-MAIL LIST! It's free!
Auf Wiedersehen.

08.23.07
A weekend off.
Sorry for the lack of news updates.
We really haven't been sitting around twiddling our thumbs, though. Actually, we were held captive by a couple of woodland nymphs while visiting the fine city of Franklin. It took all the strength we could muster, but we finally broke free of their enchanting spell and began our arduous trek southward. After some therapy, we are ready to get back at it again.
We will be resting this weekend in anticipation of the big end of summer bash - The Cincinnati Bell/WEBN Fireworks on Sept. 2nd. We will be on the Kentucky side, in Newport near Newport On The Levee, starting at 7:30 and going until they start the show.
Until then, check our schedule page for some changes and additions, our photo page for some new photos and for goodness' sake, sign up on our e-mail list.  Bye.

One HOT Weekend!
HOT ENOUGH FOR YA? Sorry, just had to do it. It was was plenty hot for us last weekend on what has become know as "viaje del fuego",  "путешествие пожара" or "viaggio di fuoco". (bablefish 'em)
Friday at Colerain Park was Sizzlin' as promised, right down to the circuits we fried. (thanks for your patience) Saturday in Deer Park (sounds like a Dutch version of a Chicago song) was also a good time. We got to meet up with some old friends and sweat a bit.
But, SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY! WOW! I think there will be a proclamation declaring Goettafest '07 now officially be know as "Saunafest". Somehow amid the deafening calliope and the searing  heat we muddled through thanks in part to Busken's Goetta Goobers and the Goetta Nachos & Goetta Wraps from the Colonial Cottage. The latter being served up by the wonderful Heather. Thanks to all of you who stuck it out with us. We appreciate it.
Now, back to the hydration therapy...

Take me out to the ballgame...
We're oilin' up our gloves, pine tarrin' our bats and stretchin' our groins in preparation for our big show at Gameday Sports Cafe on Saturday after the Reds/Cubs game. Come on out and watch us bring our "A" game while giving 110%. We know the intangibles will be the key and even though it'll be a total team effort, someone will step up and get the job done. We're just gonna try to keep our focus and not beat ourselves. We'll just take it one song at a time...

07.18.07
No Whammies!!
Well, as much as we hate to do this to you, there will be no Whammies this weekend. I know, it's tough. Maybe you can spend this weekend picking your outfit for Saturday, July 28th when you come to see us at Gameday Sports Cafe. We will be spending each and every waking moment thinking of you until then.            Be strong.

What an interesting weekend!
J.D. Legends was a great time. Jason got to show off for his hometown crowd. See, he's not all that bad... Also, all of us couldn't help but feel the massive buzz surrounding the arrival of Vanilla Ice on Saturday. We're sure he put on a great show, performing all of his hit(s).
Jefferson Hall on Saturday was another adventure in itself. Highlighted by a young lady from the Kentucky school for the performing arts, it was, all in all, another captivating evening.
No Whammies!! next weekend. We'll be busy honing our skills and learning some new material for yous guys. Check back often. We promise to keep this thing updated.          Really.

P.S We're also working on all the broken links on our site. Thanks in advance for your patience.
